Multicam Family / OCP

Multicam is the current king, adopted as OCP by US Army 2015. 7-color gradient that adapts to environment - looks green in woodland, tan in desert, brown in transitional. Most successful modern camo, used by 50+ armies.

History & Origin

Developed by Crye Precision 2002, tested in Afghanistan. US Army selected Multicam for OEF in 2010 as Operation Enduring Freedom Camo, then as OCP in 2015 replacing UCP. Licensed worldwide.

Why It Works

Gradient and no hard edges, brain cannot detect pattern, background matching at 3 distances - micro at close, macro at far. Most versatile ever tested.

Care

Wash cold, original Crye has higher quality print than licensed, NIR degrades with heat, FR versions need special wash.
